TREC Ireland Open Championships press release 18th September 2012.

TREC Ireland would like to confirm details for the Open Championships. The event will take place on Saturday 29th of September at CoilOg, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare. The event will feature Level 1 and 2. Level 2 will include both Pairs and Individuals, and is a Qualifier for the 2013 BHS TREC Championships. Entries for the event are now 47 euro (members) and 55 euro (non members and BHS classes). These include a lunch pack and BBQ for all riders.

 

Riders may enter solely the POR (orienteering) or the PTV/CoP (obstacles and control of paces), entry fees for which are 25 euro (members) or 33 euro (non members) – this does include a lunch pack but not include the BBQ, for this please add 15 euro. Please note that the POR must be entered in Pairs for the Level 1 class.

 

Entries must be received by Celie O’Rahilly, 7 Castleview, Castleconnell, Co. Limerick by Monday 24th September 2012, no late entries will be accepted.

 

This event also features the Kaspyr Kup – the 2012 Affiliated TREC Groups Team Perpetual Trophy. This team is to be made up of 3 or 4 riders, one of whom must be a TREC Ireland member and one rider must have completed on three-phase event in 2012. Level 3 and 4 riders wishing to take part will have their scores included from the Kerry TREC event in Dingle in October. Entries are 5 euro per rider and must be made through the Group secretary to Celie O’Rahilly – inquiries to treasurer@trecireland.com please.

 

The event will start at 9.30am sharp, with the Level 2 Control of Paces, followed by the PTV. The POR will kick off at 12.30pm, and will be followed by the BBQ (6.30pm) and prize giving.
