Membership

If you are new to TREC, you can avail of our temporary membership to try out your first event. This can be done when you sign up for the event - see the Events page for more info.

TREC Ireland membership is for all TREC Ireland and TREC Ireland affiliated Group events. It also gives you voting rights and supports training for both riders and judges. See all members benefits below.

TREC Ireland currently offers the following membership options:

1. Full Adult membership - €80 (or €70 if also a member of a TREC Affiliated Group).

2. Under 21 membership - €45 (or €40 if also a member of a TREC Affiliated Group).

3. Family/ Couple membership - €120, includes two adults (over 21) & 3 children (under 21).

4. Adult Non Rider membership - €20

5. Supporter membership  - Free

Your membership will be valid for 12 months once it is received by TREC Ireland.

TREC Ireland members can avail of a discounted rate to become members of TREC Trails Ireland.  HERE

All le​vels of horse and rider can take part in TREC. For competition, horse must be four years old or over. To compete as an individual riders must be aged 16 or over.

​

For TREC, you can use the same tack as your horse is normally ridden in, including western and bitless. Standing martingales are not permitted . Tack can be changed between phases. There is also some specialised equipment for TREC. The equipment list can be found in the download section.​
