Kerry Trec showcase Dingle

Well done to Kerry Trec for providing a brilliant competition to round off the season of full two day competitions. After a very damp summer,the sun shined for the whole weekend treating competitors panoramic views of the beautiful west Dingle peninsular. Taking in two beach gallops and several pilgrim trails, riders came home tired but truly delighted. The social night at TP's on the pier had a great vibe as riders recounted the days delights, wrong turns,and magic gallops. Horse and rider had to pick their way up ancient monastic paths that crisscrossed the hills behind Ballyferrieter and Ventry. A big thanks to Traceur, Karen Nicholson for setting up a truly challenging POR course and Adrian Flynn for utilising Joe O'Briens fields,gallops and the mile long beach to create a fun and challenging PTV. And Sally Miller for providing a wonderful welcome and organising great sponsors for the event! Also a special thanks to all the volunteers who came down and made it all happen!. Turas Trec's Bambi Carroll took the Level 3 Open Championship class on her experienced ID x Connemara, Marty Zee with Mairead Moynihan of Kerry Trec close behind on her young ID mare Leith Pimpernell. Sean Fitzgibbon added another feather to his cap winning the level 2 individuals with Carla O'Neill and Ashling O'Donovan taking the Level 2 pairs. Newcomers Louise Brassil and Martine Moriarty both pulled on the stops on the PTV(obstacle Course) to take the Level 1 pairs.
