Donegal Trec Autumn League

Low Temperatures and High Spirits at Lenamore Stables

Despite the cold, the riders, horses and ponies kept their spirits

high at the third leg of the Donegal TREC autumn league at Lenamore

Stables. The course of 16 obstacles provided some interesting

challenges with lots of concentration needed. The time allowed of 8

minutes brought time penalties for some riders and had a significant

impact on the scores.

Among the young riders, league leader Lisa Moore once again claimed

the top spot with her pony Jo Dazzler with an impressive score of 141

points. Second place in the young riders category went to newcomer

Victoria Poole with a good score of 97 points.

The under 16s class saw twins Jade and Kelly McClafferty displaying

the fruits of their practice with the girls tying on 104 points to

share first place. Another new rider to TREC, Megan McGettigan scored

second place with 78 points on Dotty.

The adult novice class was a very close contest with Martina Brady and

Power’s Dream taking the top spot with 103 points. Geraldine Gough

and Beauty completed the course with 98 points to take second place

with Pamela White just one point behind in third place.

Lenamore Stables and to the stewards who volunteered to make the day

possible. The next leg of the league will be held in Templemore

Equestrian Centre on Sunday the 18th of November.
